On the Road with Radioddity: Promoting Amateur Across the Baltics

We’re excited to share the inspiring journey of Miroslav “Misko” Skoric (YT7MPB), who recently completed his IEEE Communications Society Distinguished Lecturer Tour across Lithuania and Estonia. As a proud supporter, Radioddity followed along as Misko introduced amateur radio to new audiences and demonstrated the real-world capabilities of our devices.

Throughout his three-stop tour in October 2025, Misko showcased the GD-77, GD-88, and DB25-D—using them to demonstrate both voice and data applications. From a lecture at the Estonian Aviation Academy in Tartu to sessions at TalTech in Tallinn, our radios were right there with him, fully programmed for local repeater networks and actively running APRS data mode.

What truly stood out was how naturally Radioddity equipment fit into everyday settings. Whether in hotel lobbies, restaurants, or public cafés, the GD-77 and GD-88 weren’t only demo tools—they sparked conversations. They made ham radio approachable, visible, and relevant in daily life.

Misko’s passion for expanding the reach of amateur radio was evident everywhere he went. Operating under temporary call signs LY7MPB in Lithuania and ES1MPB in Estonia, he engaged with local communities while demonstrating the practical value of FM, DMR, and packet data modes.

Misko Said:
"It was a nice experience for me to promote Radioddity brand among technology enthusiasts and general population in those two Baltic countries. So I am looking forward to plan my next international DLP lectures in other destinations. In short time, GD-77, GD-88, and DB25-D will be also displayed in my QRZ.com and LinkedIn profiles. Stay tuned for news …Miroslav “Misko” Skoric, YT7MPB (as LY7MPB while in Lithuania, and ES1MPB while in Estonia)"

We’re honored that Radioddity radios played a meaningful role in his outreach efforts, and we look forward to supporting his continued work promoting the amateur radio hobby. Stay tuned for more updates from Misko on QRZ.com and LinkedIn—and perhaps even more international DLP tours on the horizon.

73, The Radioddity Team
